Business Operations Assistant

Reports to: Business Operations Director
Compensation: Full time, Hourly

Primary Purpose

The purpose of the Business Operations Assistant is to oversee the C3 Church café, office and hospitality activities. These activities require stewardship towards excellence of the Dream Team volunteers, inventory, environments and equipment that support the ministry of C3 Church. He/she will provide strategic direction and lead planning efforts while developing & adhering to budgets. Creating processes & systems to support the Business Operations will be paramount. She/he will oversee all C3 Church café, office and hospitality activities for services, conferences and other events on the Clayton campus, future Raleigh campus and other off-site locations so that we can pursue our vision to bring real hope to real people in a real world by helping people know God, find freedom, discover their purpose, and make a difference. He/she is also directly responsible for developing a business operations strategy, planning and all activities required to carry out the stewardship of our cafe, office & hospitality resources, communicating solutions to appropriate stakeholders, seeing solutions through to completion, keeping department within allotted annual budget as well as recruiting, developing and shepherding Dream Team volunteers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create processes & systems that help the Business Operations care for people, financial, and material resources
• Develop a business & ministry plan to steward the café, office & hospitality resources
• Consult with administration, department managers and peers with more experience to develop best practices for Business Operations
• Provide weekly progress updates and status reports
• Create and maintain a sustainable café, office & hospitality budget
• Establish and direct the strategic and tactical goals, policies, and procedures for café, office & hospitality activities
• Work closely with the Executive Minister for Business Operations to establish profitable café activities, office protocol for excellence and hospitality best practices that represent our Core Values
• Organize, schedule, and attend regular training sessions for the Dream Team
• Implement a system of leadership development to cultivate and train potential café, office & hospitality Dream Team leaders
• Facilitate the scheduling & communication of Business Operations activities from their inception through to completion
• Manage the Church calendar platform with admin responsibility for Churchwide Events, Facility Use, Celebrations Services, and Meetings calendars

● Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly
● Administrative skills that elevate the abilities of the team
● Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Calendar, Google Drive, iCalendar, Apple Mail, Mac and PC platforms

● 3-5 years managing a fast-paced, high-volume customer service and/or ministry environment
● Calendar Management of multiple schedules subject to frequent changes
● Must possess strong life-giving relational & management skills
● Strong technology and business acumen
● Must be able to create and manage change
● Organizational proficiency
