Worship To An Audience Of One

We are continuing the blog series; ’10 Things I Wish I Knew When I Was 20.’  Here is #9…

Luke 10:38-39,”As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said.”

Don’t be so busy doing the work of the ministry that you forget to worship the God of the ministry. As we begin to walk into obedience with what God is calling us to do, we can begin to gain great joy and zeal for serving God’s house! And here at C3 Church, we have many opportunities for our members to serve God using their gifts and talents to offer: REAL HOPE for REAL PEOPLE in a REAL WORLD. But in order for us to operate at our best and to fulfill all God has for us in our life, we must not forget to allow time for God. To really press into HIM, and to set aside a specific time for HIM to engage in prayer, praise and the reading of HIS word. Like Mary, you’ll be amazed at what you will glean when you sit at the Savior’s feet.

What are your ideas to worshipping God amidst the busyness of ministry?  You can share them in the comments section below.

And if you are a pastor or church leader we’d love to have you join us for the next GET REAL Exchange with special guest Dr. Sam Chand November 20 and 21 at getrealnetwork.com
