I am so excited because this weekend at all 3 services, C3 will host the Watoto Children’s Choir from Uganda! Watoto means “The Children”, and these children are on a mission. Through their inspirational songs and compelling stories, the Watoto Children’s Choir is spreading a message of hope for Africa’s children.
Watoto was birthed out of a vision given to Pastor Gary and Marilyn Skinner in 1992, and today over 1500 children are cared for by this ministry.
The goal of Watoto is to raise the next generation of Ugandan leaders by pursuing excellence in academic skills, integrity in conduct and moral values, so that each child becomes a responsible and productive citizen.
Since 1994, the Watoto Children’s Choirs have toured internationally as ambassadors for the orphan children of Uganda bringing a message of hope to many countries. Each child in the choir has experienced tremendous personal tragedy, having lost one or both parents in the African AIDS crisis or other calamities.
You and your family won’t want to miss this weekend! We have such an expectancy of what God will do through Watoto this weekend that we are inviting all of our K-5 students to join us in the worship center this weekend. (We will still have birth-4 year old classrooms open for your children.)
Also, after each service, your family will have the opportunity to bring hope to children in Uganda by sponsoring a child.
See you this weekend!
