Unbelievable

What a weekend! It can be described in one word… Unbelievable. We truly are experiencing Ephesians 3:20 together…

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to His power that works in us.”

Some of the highlights:
• Hundreds of volunteers working with all their heart (from the inside out). Thanks Everybody!
• The Carolina Red Packer hot dogs rocked the house baby! We ate 4,000 of them… and that was just me and Martha.
• One of our highest attended weekends ever… around 2,300.
• Saturday 5pm was our second highest attended of the 4 services with approx. 600 in attendance!
• 11am was our largest service ever with close to 900 in attendance… standing room only.
• Many decisions for Christ… We’re still counting.
• Awesome to have so many special guests, principals, leaders from the community (thanks Sheriff for the “Get Out of Jail Free” card!) and our local Senator (and future Governor) of NC.

This past weekend truly was a defining moment for C3. We are making history together as we build God’s kingdom… and the best is yet to come!

It was truly unbelievable! Thank you, Ps Matt, for allowing me to participate in such an amazing weekend at C3. I was thinking back to one year ago this past weekend when I was meeting with Ps Jim Reeve in his green room after services and talking about leaving FCC. One year ago we had no idea where we were going and what God had in store for us, but one year later we are experiencing the best He had for us! It’s amazing! The best is yet to come!

What a great weekend we had to celebrate the Lord and all he is doing. It was my pleasure to serve. I don’t think we will be having hot dogs again for a really long time though. We ate a ton of them. Thank you for all the hard work that went into the weekend. We had a great time.

  • curiosity’s killin’ me – what’s up with the “get out of jail free” cards?
an awesome new trend in prison ministry outreach?

All I can say is WOW!!! It was incredible to see everybody at C3 this past weekend. Every single church that I have ever been involved in (since I came to Christ at ECU in 1992) has had a building campaign of some sort. Only one of those churches besides C3 actually built and grew! What is amazing to me, is to see how far God has brought this body of Christ in the past year! So many people are coming to know Christ in our community through this body of Christ! As long as we continue to keep Christ at the center of this DREAM, He will continue to bless C3 and allow us to continue to reach out to real people who are hurting in our area. Thanks for being a Godly example in Leadership, Pastor Matt!

This weekend was truly unbelievable! Andy and I were standing under the tent after the 11:00 service and we just paused and looked around in amazement at the hundreds of people that had gathered for this event. It was like nothing either of us had ever seen. When we really thought about it, it was hard not to get overcome with emotion. To know that thousands of people agree to support and help further God’s kingdom through C3. My goodness gracious that is just amazing!! We love our church and cannot wait to see what God has in store. We have our seatbelts buckled and we’re ready for the ride!!! Bring it on!

  • Ferrell Hardison, Whitley Church Sr. Pastor

The entire Whitley Church Family says, “Congratulations to Pastor Matt, the C3 staff and leadership team, and to the total C3 family!!” We love you guys and we are so happy we get to learn from you!!

Just wanted to give all of the “card turners” and the Worship team a big “WOW”! It was truly a moving service and truly displayed how God had used C3 to impact lives in an amazing way. And so MANY VOLUNTEERS!!! It was awesome!

  • Bruce

It was an awesome weekend and God was glorified! Thanks for your leadership and for helping us carry out the vision. (And thanks for adding the real hot dogs too.) The volunteers did an awesome job, working long hours and not waiting for others to do things. It was very moving to see everyone coming together and contributing, and having fun while we did it, in typical C3 fashion.
God is doing great things and has greater things in store for us if we keep our eyes on Him. Praise Him!

Off the Hook!!!I feel like I am living in the time of Acts. We are so grateful to be apart of what Jesus is doing at C3 Church. What an awesome priviledge. Thanks Pastor Matt & Martha for inviting us to labor alongside of you for the Kingdom of Heaven and for teaching us so much about being generous, excellent and life giving in everything we do.

  • My wife and I have visited C3 for several Sunday morning services. We continue to enjoy the energy, the fresh creativity, and the inspirational quality of the activities. I wanted to drop you a quick note to say how moved I have been by your message on Sunday morning of the groundbreaking weekend. When you spoke of walking slowly over the whole of the property where the new buildings will be, willfully planting your foot on every square foot of ground and praying for a specific blessing….well, it was powerful stuff! Not only was it a captivating message but your passion and excitement in it’s delivery really moved me. I have found myself frequently revisiting that message and those prayers since that Sunday morning. It is so evident that the Lord is truly working through your ministry and through the congregation of C3. Thank you for your role in providing such an exciting and sincere place of worship and Christian fellowship.
