Proverbs 24 and Giving Thanks

If you are reading through Proverbs with us… this week we are reading Proverbs 21-25 (Monday – Friday).  Thursday’s reading is Proverbs 24.  As I was reading this week, I couldn’t help but be thankful for the relationships that God has put into my life to help me to be the leader God’s called me to be.  I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for men of God who pray for me, encourage me and give me wise counsel.

Proverbs 24:6, “For waging war you need guidance, and for victory many advisers.”
If you haven’t noticed, sometimes life is like a war.  We are at war with the enemy and if your desire is to impact the Kingdom of God then Satan doesn’t like it.  But I’m so thankful that “Greater is He that is in us, than He that is in the world!” (I John 4:4).  I want thank some amazing leaders who have encouraged and challenged me recently:

> Dino Rizzo, Healing Place Church.  Thanks Dino for sharing with me wisdom for making transitions to go to the next level.

> Steve Kelly, Wave Church .  Thanks Steve for challenging me to think “big picture” when it comes to building the Kingdom of God.

I want to challenge you to continue reading through Proverbs.  We’ve only got 8 chapters to go!  If you haven’t started or you have missed a few chapters, just jump on board with us for the rest of the journey. Don’t be discouraged and don’t give up, remember…

Proverbs 24:16, “For though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again…”

  • Matt – You’re one of the most authentic, genuine people in ministry that I know. And C3 is one of the most refreshing churches in America.
I appreciate your heart for the Kingdom, and the fact that you married so far over your head – just like I did.
