Praying For Africa… and C3 Kids

Recently I’ve come across an amazing ministry that is making a difference in the lives of children. Children’s Cup is an organization that reaches out to AIDS orphans and OVC’s in Africa. A couple of months ago I had the privilege of spending time with their founder and director Dave Ohlerking (at an awesome Italian restaurant in Baton Rouge, LA… thanks Dino!) With tears in his eyes, he shared with me his heart for these suffering children and how they are making a difference, one child at a time. On Aug. 1, they are launching a 40 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR THE CHILDREN.

If you feel led to join me in praying… just go to their web site, and let them know. Together we can make a difference!

Speaking of children… our C3 children’s ministry led by Tami Poland (elementary) and Anisa Larson (preschool), is kicking some tail for Jesus!

I am so proud of the 200+ volunteers that give their heart and life to impacting the next generation for God’s glory! Every weekend, we have children that give their life to Jesus… and every weekend we see children leaving the church with a smile on their face and hope in their heart. We are so pumped as we kick off a brand new fall… Aug. 19-20!

That’s the Big Weekend that we will be promoting all children to the next ministry and partying C3 style, baby!… C3 Kids is provided during ALL 4 services (Sat, 6pm and Sunday, 8:30, 10 and 11:30am)….Birth to 4 yrs is Rock City, K-3rd grade is The WhereHouse, and 4-5th grade is The Outer Limits is where it’s at! Let’s keep changing the world one child at a time!

It is an honor to serve the children of C3. There is nothing more exciting than watching the next generation grow in their relationship with Christ. It is so inspiring to see how freely they worship and to see them get excited about serving our Lord. This church is full of world changers and I am so thankful that I get to be involved to see what God is going to do! Thanks for being an awesome leader and putting amazing leaders in place for us to follow.

    Pastor Matt,
    Goodnes.. where to begin?
Well, I have always prayed to God and felt God in my life but I have never known God or had a relationship with God the way I do since attending C3. Many times I have heard “first timers” saying that they were brought to tears from the overwhelming presence of God there!
The body of Christ that is C3 is amazing and sometimes it can be intimdating! There are so many ready to serve where ever needed, ready to take on a fight with the enemy, to pray for each other, to encourage each other, and to guide each other closer to our Savior!
I have been learning so much through bible studies, small group, and others that I serve with. I will never be the same! My family will never be the same! “Can I get an Amen?”
I am one of the service coaches for the Preschool Ministry. I can’t begin to express to you how blessed and honored I feel to serve with these warriors in Christ!
God has truly shined His light on Anisa. She is the best! She is always encouraging and uplifting and never judges or condems. She has heard His calling and is runnnig with it! I am so excited to see what God has in store for her next!
As your pouring into Anisa, she is pouring into us and we are pouring into our teams! It’s so cool!
So, Thank you, Pastor Matt! Thank you for never doubing God’s vison for C3 and The Dream that God planted in you! Thank you for never giving up and fighting with everything you have!
Thank you Martha! Thank you for never doubting the vision God gave Matt. For not only following in that vision but for standing beside Matt encouraging and uplifting him and following your own vision for C3
“May God Bless you and keep you all the days of your life”

We will join with you in praying for these hurting children. What an incredible honor it is to serve God by serving the “littlest ones”.
Our children’s ministry is so awesome because the senior pastor, Matt Fry, has such an incredible heart for reaching the lost and hurting of every age!
Thank you for your heart, passion and leadership.

My fiance Theresa and I absolutely love serving Christ together in the Gingerbread House on Sundays! I get pumped just spending time with the kids and teaching them about Jesus! It is a boost to both of our walks when the kids start to talk about what Christ has done for them on the Cross!
As we get closer to our wedding and beyond, we will still listen to God calling us to serve Him by working with the pre-schoolers and Fusion!

After Martha’s request tonight, I had to post :).
Seriously, what a blessing to serve in worship at C3. I have been planted in this local church and pray for you and the continued fulfillment of the vision to reach real people, so many of whom are hurting, in a real world.
I have been delivered from so much so I am a passionate worshipper. But I TRULY BELIEVE that I am standing in the gap for someone who cannot for whatever reason, cry out to God for deliverance, healing and wholeness, so it is my job to worship on their behalf.
    Love you,
