Powerful Night

On Wednesday night, we hosted our first of three Impact Rallies here at C3. What an amazing night of worship from the C3 worship team and teaching from Pastor Ricky Ryan! It was a fun and powerful night! The worship center was packed with passionate worshippers and we all were blessed by the teaching of Pastor Ricky from Calvary Chapel Santa Barbara, California. He’s got to be one of the most “on fire for God” pastors I’ve ever met. (if you missed it you can listen to it on our C3 Leadership Podcast) Our theme last night was “Upward: God’s Impact On Me”. We studied: God’s Person, God’s Plan: the Gospel, God’s Purpose: to Worship Him. As we discussed God’s Attributes, one thing Pastor Ricky shared in reference to God’s mercy being new every morning… Why? Because we need His mercy every morning! I can relate to that.
Not only is Pastor Ricky a dynamic Pastor and Teacher, but he is a National Champion Pro Surfer. We had a blast talking about surfing and how to catch a wave. This guy actually invented a surfing move that is used to this day… the 360 degrees (or something like that. Can you tell I’m not a surfer?) Next Wednesday we will be hosting Pastor Gary Galbraith from Revival Christian Fellowship in Southern California…a church of over 6,000 people. Our theme will be “Inward Impact: God’s Impact On Us”.
These Impact Rallies will not only prepare us for the Harvest Crusade with Greg Laurie June 22-24, but the training we receive will equip us to do great things for God far beyond the Crusade.

The first impact rally was off the charts. Pastor Ricky has a contagious enthusiasm and passion for God. He also told me that he sees potential for a great surfer in you. Of course you would have to move to Hawaii so you could practice a little more. Just kidding. Love you Pastor.

It was a fabulous night! Ps Ricky Ryan was a great communicator and a bundle of energy! I hope we decide to have him back to preach on a weekend sometime soon. Thanks C3 for hosting the IMPACT Rally.
