Never Give Up!

1 John 4:4, “But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.”

We have come to the end of our list of the ’10 Things I Wish I Knew When I Was 20′. Here’s a list of the first 9, and I invite you to go back and re-read or review them at your convenience so that they remain fresh in your mind. 1) When difficult times come, don’t get discouraged 2) Your value comes from your Heavenly Father 3) Make it your goal every day to be a GOD pleaser and not a man pleaser 4) Take the initiative to solve problems and meet needs 5) Honor others 6) Work and Pray 7) Dream big, Then dream bigger and wait on God 8) Make sure that you are sent 9) Worship to an audience of one… And 10 is… “Never Give Up!”

Dr. Falwell used to always tell us to cut two words out of our vocabulary, Can’t and Quit. Isn’t that true? When we quit, or believe that we can not, we accomplish very little. But, the Bible reminds us that: Greater is He that is in YOU, than the devil that is in the world! Isn’t that good news? Imagine what we could accomplish together, if we made it a point to NOT give up. And to eliminate the words can’t and quit from our vocabularies? You can make that decision right now, by declaring that you will no longer give up! And continuing our theme of commencement addresses, I’ll leave you with one from Sir Winston Churchill to the Harrow School in 1941…
Winston Churchill (Harrow School, 1941)
‘Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never–in nothing, great or small, large or petty–never give in, except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.’
