Also last week, I was a part of a leadership roundtable led by Pastor Jonathan Falwell. About a dozen leaders of church planting organizations spent an afternoon together with the purpose of discussing strategic ways to partner together. Pastor Jonathan Falwell has a vision of planting 500 churches in the next 5 years and I am excited to see what God is going to do as leaders from various denominations and organizations lay down our minor differences, major on the majors and plant churches that will make a difference for the Kingdom! It was great to connect with Dr. Dave Early who is the Director of the Liberty Center for Church Planting. He’s a former church planter from Ohio that is now training church planters at Liberty University.
Once a month we have an All Staff Meeting here at C3 and this week Pastor Ray Wickam and the staff of New Horizons Fellowship in Apex, NC joined us. They are a 15 year old church that has reached hundreds in the triangle area. In 2004, Saddleback Church recognized them with The Church Health Award. When C3 first started, Ray was an encouragement and an inspiration to me when there were very few contemporary churches models in NC. What an honor to have them join us with a desire to keep learning and growing as leaders… I shared in our staff meeting how we need to Remember The Important Things…
1. Remember that Prayer is the Key and
2. Remember We Must Recruit and Build Teams
We had a great time of fellowship together and then their staff partnered with some of our staff and discussed their ministry area.
We also had some good friends from the Summit Church stop by for a tour of our new facility… Pastor J.D. Greear and his staff are a dynamic church in Durham area and are in the process of building a facility to accommodate their rapidly growing church of approx. 2,300.
