Monday Morning Recap

This weekend we celebrated our Groundbreaking for our new roadside signage! After 14 years, we are excited to be breaking ground of this new sign that will be seen by the thousands that drive by our campus every day. We know that God can use this new sign to point people to His House! Matt and I want to thank all who give above and beyond to Imagine so that we can continue to advance the Kingdom!

We also continued Destiny, our series based on the life of Joseph. If you missed this weekend’s services, I encourage you to watch it here and listen to it here. Also,if you were not at C3 this weekend, or if you would like to give your tithe or offering, you can give online by clicking here.

The Palace Challenge – Understanding the Principles of  Stewardship

Genesis 39:1-6, “When Joseph was taken to Egypt by the Ishmaelite traders, he was purchased by Potiphar, an Egyptian officer. Potiphar was captain of the guard for Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master. Potiphar noticed this and realized that the Lord was with Joseph, giving him success in everything he did. This pleased Potiphar, so he soon made Joseph his personal attendant. He put him in charge of his entire household and everything he owned. From the day Joseph was put in charge of his master’s household and property, the Lord began to bless Potiphar’s household for Joseph’s sake. All his household affairs ran smoothly, and his crops and livestock flourished. So Potiphar gave Joseph complete administrative responsibility over everything he owned. With Joseph there, he didn’t worry about a thing—except what kind of food to eat! Joseph was a very handsome and well-built young man.”(NLT)

TO BE FAITHFUL WITH WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU

Stewardshipthe conducting, supervising, or managing of something; especially : the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care.

How Can We Be Faithful With What God has Given To Us?

  1. Be a Good Steward of Yourself
  1. Give God First Place and Firstfruits

1 Corinthians 16:2, “On the first day of each week, you should each put aside a portion of the money you have earned. Don’t wait until I get there and then try to collect it all at once.”(NLT)

  1. Be a Good Steward of All God gives you.

Psalm 24:1-2, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.For he laid the earth’s foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths.”(NLT)

TO STAY FAITHFUL WITH WHERE GOD HAS PUT YOU

Psalm 1:1-3, “Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.”(NKJV)

John 15:4-11, “Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father. “I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. 10 When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. 11 I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!”(NLT)

We need to REMAIN!

James 1:12, “God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.”
