Monday Morning Recap

We had an awesome weekend at C3! We continued our Connect Group sign up’s. Connect Groups are the heartbeat of C3 – they are a way for you to grow more in your relationship with God and with others.

I want to encourage you to sign up this weekend for a Connect Group. You can click here to sign up or for more information. We will be signing up next weekend, so make sure you stop by in the lobby or fill out a card and get signed up!

Our newest staff member, PJ Preston, spoke a powerful message on the importance of being connected!  If you missed this weekend’s services, I encourage you to watch it here and listen to it here. Also,if you were not at C3 this weekend, or if you would like to give your tithe or offering, you can give online by clicking here.

PJ reminded us that man was not meant to do life alone…God created us to live in community and to be connected. All throughout the Bible we see people in relationship with God and with one another. PJ talked about 4 different “connect groups” that we see in God’s Word…
“The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” Genesis 2:18. (ESV)
When I am CONNECTED it pleases God!
“David left Gath and escaped to the cave of Adullam. When his brothers and his father’s household heard about it, they went down to him there. All those who were in distress or in debt or discontented gathered around him, and he became their commander. About four hundred men were with him.” Samuel 22:1-2 (ESV)
When I am CONNECTED it helps me to overcome any issue I may be facing!
“One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. 13 When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles:14 Simon (whom he named Peter), his brother Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, 15 Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Simon who was called the Zealot, 16 Judas son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.” Luke 6:12-16 (ESV)
When I am CONNECTED  it allows people to pour into me!
It was about this time that King Herod arrested some who belonged to the church, intending to persecute them. He had James, the brother of John, put to death with the sword. When he saw that this met with approval among the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This happened during the Festival of Unleavened Bread. After arresting him, he put him in prison, handing him over to be guarded by four squads of four soldiers each. Herod intended to bring him out for public trial after the Passover. So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.” Acts 12:1-5.
When I am  CONNECTED it allows the people in my life to know my needs and pray for me!
