Monday Morning Recap

This weekend Matt and I, along with our kids, were in Sydney, Australia at Shirelive Church with Pastor Micheal and Valerie Murphy.  We had the awesome privilege of speaking at their marriage conference and in their weekend services! While we were away, Pastor Jeff Kapusta spoke at C3. Jeff and Michelle Kapusta were on staff at C3 from 2002-2005 as student pastors and have been pastoring Lifepoint Church in Wilmington, NC since 2006. We are so proud of Jeff and Michelle and all that God is doing in Lifepoint Church!

If you missed this weekend’s services, I encourage you to watch it here and listen to it here. We have included all 3 services, so you can watch all 3 and listen for your question!

Also,if you were not at C3 this weekend, or if you would like to give your tithe or offering, you can give online by clicking here.

Here are notes from Pastor’s Jeff’s message on “Keeping It Real”…

“This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.

Now the man and his wife were both naked, but they felt no shame.” (Genesis 2:24, 25 NLT)

“At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves.

When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the LORD God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the LORD God among the trees.” (Genesis 3:7, 8 NLT)

“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” (Romans 3:23 NLT)

The thing that connects all of us is that we all have sinned .

Hurt causes us to hide.

Hurt will lead to healing or it will lead to hiding.

“Then the LORD God called to the man, “Where are you?”

He replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.”

(Genesis 3:9, 10 NLT)

What you conceal will not heal.

“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.”

(2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 NLT)

The damage done to you does not discount the price paid for you.

“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” (2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT)

“…for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.” (1 Corinthians 6:20 NLT)
