Monday Morning Recap

Yesterday was Father’s Day and we honored all our dads at C3 and  we continued the One Prayer series, “Unstoppable”.  We also did outdoor baptisms in the fountain and saw over a dozen people make a public profession of their faith!

Matt preached a powerful message on Unstoppable Strength from Philipians 4:13.  If you missed his sermon, you can watch it on the live feed this week!

Philipians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (NKJV)

I CAN – God uses ordinary people.  Stop saying, I can’t do that, God can’t use me, I can’t make a difference, that’s not what God says about you! Make sure you are listening to the right voices!  When we listen to God’s voice and see ourselves the way He sees us we will see that we can.

Have you ever been tempted to tell God somebody else can?  Moses did the same thing when God called him to deliver his people from slavery in Egypt.

Exodus 4:10-13, “Moses said to the Lord, ‘O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant.  I am slow of speech and tongue.  The Lord said to him, ‘Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind?  Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.’  But Moses said, ‘O Lord, please send someone else to do it.”

DO ALL THINGS – there are no limits when we put our life in God’s hands.

THROUGH CHRIST – Where does our strength come from? Our strength doesn’t come from ourselves but comes from an awesome and powerful God!

Our strength comes from Christ.  He is the source!

Psalm 121:1-2, “ I lift up my eyes to the hills— where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.”

WHO STRENGTHENS ME – He gives us strength for what He has called us to do.

What do you need strength for today?

God Gives Us Unstoppable Strength…

2 Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”(NKJV)

  • Strength to Reach Out to Others

2 Timothy 1:8, “Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God.”

  • Strength to Overcome Adversity

2 Timothy 1:8, “… but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God.”

The greatest suffering is not physical but spiritual.  It’s not suffering on the outside that hurts the most, it’s suffering of the heart.

2 Timothy 2:3, “You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”

  • Strength to Invest in the Next Generation

2 Timothy 2:1-2, “You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.  And the things you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”

  • Strength to Stand up for the Hurting and the Forgotten

Grateful for His strength,
