Monday Morning Recap

This weekend was such a special weekend in the life of C3! It was 13 years ago yesterday that we had our very first service in Cleveland Elementary School! When we look back on all that God has done in the last 13 years, we know that He is an Ephesians 3:20 God and He has done “exceedingly more than we could ever ask or imagine!” We can’ wait to see what God has in store for the next 13 years as a church!

Also, this weekend was our annual MVP Weekend (Most Valuable People) and it was awesome to see so many new faces on campus! After each service we had a Meet & Greet and Matt and I got to meet lots of new families that God is bringing to C3! The greatest part of the weekend was seeing the life change that occurred each service.  We celebrated over 70 fresh start this weekend! Life change is what it’s all about and it never gets old!!

The month of October is Pastor Appreciation Month and we were honored with a huge, fun gift basket full of gift cards, candy, games and lots of fun things to enjoy as a family from our ministry teams! On behalf of Matt, myself and our family, I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone! It is an honor to be the leaders of an amazing church family!

We continued our LOVE series from 1 Corinthians 13, and Matt spoke a great word on “Real Love Doesn’t Rejoice About Injustice but Rejoices with the Truth!” If you missed the message, you can watch it here and listen to it here.

I Corinthians 13:4-6Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud. 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.”(NLT)

Matthew 9:35-38, “Then Jesus made a circuit of all the towns and villages. He taught in their meeting places, reported kingdom news, and healed their diseased bodies, healed their bruised and hurt lives. When he looked out over the crowds, his heart broke. So confused and aimless they were, like sheep with no shepherd. “What a huge harvest!” he said to his disciples. “How few workers! On your knees and pray for harvest hands!”(Message)

Luke 15:4-7, “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.”(NIV)

WHAT is the Truth? God’s Word

2 Timothy 3:16, “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.”(NLT)

WHO is the Truth? Jesus

John 14:6, Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”

Truth leads to FREEDOM and we are set free to SERVE!

Galatians 5:13, “For you have been called to live in freedom – not freedom to satisfy your sinful nature, but freedom to serve one another in love.”(NLT)
