Monday Morning Recap

This weekend was a powerful weekend at C3.  One thing that really stood out to me this weekend were the words that we sung during our worship time, and how they reminded us of who God is in our lives.

One song we sang, You Are God Alone (not a God), reminds us that in every season, no matter what is happening around, God is still on the throne and He is a good God.  Below are the lyrics and you can download the song from iTunes.

You Are God Alone (Not A God)
by Charles & Taylor

Verse I
You are not a God created by human hands
You are not a God dependent on immortal man
You are not a God in need of anything we can give
By your plan, that’s just the way it is

Verse II
You’re the only God whose power none can contend
You’re the only God whose name and praise will never end
You’re the only God whose worthy of everything we can give
You are God and that’s just the way it is

chorus
You are God alone
From before time began
You are on your throne
You are God alone
And right now in the good times and bad
You’re on the throne
You are God alone

Unchangable
Unshakeable
Unstoppable
That’s what you are

Another song, I Will Exalt You, is one of my favorite songs and I love the fact that sings the attributes of who God is.  Below are the words to the song and you can download the song from iTunes.

I Will Exalt You by Hillsong

Verse 1:
I will exalt You
I will exalt You
I will exalt You
You are my God

Chorus:
My hiding place My safe refuge
My treasure Lord You are
My friend and King Anointed One
Most Holy.

Verse 2:
Because You’re with me
Because You’re with me
Because You’re with me
I will not fear

Robbie Robison spoke at all three services.  Robbie has been a great friend of Matt’s since his early days in student ministry, and he delivered a great message from Matthew 28:16-20 and Acts 1:8 and reminded us to “go” and have our eyes open wide to the lost and hurting people around us who need Jesus.

Have a great week!

Martha
