Packed Services in the MPC
What a crazy weekend!! Irene came through, the AC at C3 went out, Matt was in Peru, Matt’s iPad and wallet were stolen, we had to cancel Saturday night service…what more could we have fit in to one weekend?!? BUT, despite all of that it was still an incredible weekend in God’s House!!
Matt was in Peru this week with Pastor Robert and Karyn Barriger and Camino de Vida Church in Lima. While he was there, he and Pastor Robert spoke at a pastor’s conference and then on Sunday Matt spoke 7 times…for a total of 10 times! He is traveling home today!
On Sunday morning we made a decision about 8:00am to move our services into the MPC (our original worship center) because we had no AC in the rest of the building. I was SO proud of all of our teams from tech and worship to First Touch and Kids Ministry for pulling off 2 incredible services in the MPC at the last minute! I’m so thankful that we have a team with a ‘whatever it takes’ attitude!!
I had the awesome privilege of speaking this week on one of my favorite subjects…Connect Groups! Our connect groups are the heartbeat of C3! When you join a connect group, you get to fellowship and grow with other believers!
Ecclesiastes 4: 9 Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. 11 Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? 12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.
This verse is telling us that life is designed for companionship not isolation for intimacy, not loneliness.
It is in connect groups that the “One Anothers” are lived out.
