Monday Morning Recap

This was an exciting weekend at C3!  Saturday Night Service is BACK and we kicked it off this Saturday with a packed house and a powerful service!  The new service starts at 6:oopm every Saturday!

As part of our worship set this weekend, we sang a new song, Here, written by our C3 worship team!  I’m so proud of Chris Pipes and Andrew Kurtz and our whole team who are using their gifts to write songs to lead us in worship!

We also kicked off our new series, Flip Flops! All throughout the Bible, the wisdom and direction that comes from God is different from what the world would tell us to do.  During this Flip Flop series, Matt is going to teach on these ‘flip flops’ so we can learn more about being in the world, but not of the world.  If you missed this weekend’s message, you can watch it here and listen to it here.

Matthew 5:17-20, “Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved. So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. “But I warn you—unless your righteousness is better than the righteousness of the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven!”

God has a PURPOSE for your life. The purpose of God’s word is not to make us more spiritual, but so that we can live out His Truth!

Romans 12:2, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”(NLT)

Matthew 7:1-5, “Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.  “And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye?  Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.”

I Peter 2:9, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”(NIV)

  • You are Chosen!
  • You are Royal!
  • You are Holy!
  • You Belong to God!!
