Matt & our daughters, Gloria & Caroline
This Sunday at C3 we celebrated Father’s Day in a big way with our Man Zones!! We had cornhole, a tractor, and of course…Bojangle’s biscuits and sweet tea! We hope that all of the dads and the men in our church felt honored! Matt and I love you and thank God that His house is full of men who love Him and serve Him! I am so thankful for Matt. Our kids couldn’t have a better dad! And, I am thankful for my dad, Ted Wilbanks! Love you both!
Matt preached a powerful word that was challenging and encouraging, “Will the Real Men Please Stand Up”. Even for us ladies in the House, it was a great word! You can listen to the message here and watch it here.
During the services, we also showed an awesome tribute to all dads…
James 5:7-12, “Dear brothers and sisters, be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen. You, too, must be patient. Take courage, for the coming of the Lord is near. Don’t grumble about each other, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. For look—the Judge is standing at the door! For examples of patience in suffering, dear brothers and sisters, look at the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. For instance, you know about Job, a man of great endurance. You can see how the Lord was kind to him at the end, for the Lord is full of tenderness and mercy. But most of all, my brothers and sisters, never take an oath, by heaven or earth or anything else. Just say a simple yes or no, so that you will not sin and be condemned.”
Real men have PATIENCE. Patience means having a long fuse and being able to bear trials calmly or without complaint.
Real men have COURAGE. Each of us have a cause within us that makes us bold!
Real men have ENDURANCE.
