Monday Morning Recap

This weekend at C3 we celebrated EASTER with three powerful services, Saturday night and Sunday morning! At each service God did exceedingly abundantly more than we could have asked for or imagined through salvation and life-change!

It was awesome to see 23 men, women and children make their commitment to Christ public through baptism!  We gave away over 50 Bibles at our Fresh Start table, had 27 recorded first time decisions for Christ and over 50 recommitments!  Another huge praise was that more than 40 children accepted Jesus as their Savior this weekend in C3Kids!!!  Praise God for the life change that took place this weekend!

Matt and I also enjoyed meeting many of you after the services in the courtyard!

Matt’s message this weekend was entitled “What’s Easter All About?”  If you missed it  you can listen to it here and watch it here.

Matthew 28:1-10, “Early on Sunday morning, as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to visit the tomb. Suddenly there was a great earthquake! For an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside the stone, and sat on it. His face shone like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow. The guards shook with fear when they saw him, and they fell into a dead faint. Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying. And now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember what I have told you.” The women ran quickly from the tomb. They were very frightened but also filled with great joy, and they rushed to give the disciples the angel’s message. And as they went, Jesus met them and greeted them. And they ran to him, grasped his feet, and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t be afraid! Go tell my brothers to leave for Galilee, and they will see me there.”

What does the Resurrection mean for us?

The resurrection means HOPE.

Hope for Today.

John 14:6, “Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”(NLT)

Hope for Eternity.

Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”

There is a real Heaven and there is a real Hell, and each of us have a decision to make.  God offers us eternal hope in Him through salvation!  When we put our hope in Christ, we are never disappointed and our hope is eternal!
