Monday Morning Recap

This weekend we started our new series, “Jesus Is” and Chris Pipes, our Minister of Connect Groups spoke an awesome message, “Jesus Is the Way”

You can see this weekend’s message here.  Also, if you weren’t able to join us this weekend and would like to give your regular tithe and offering, you can give online by clicking here.

John 14:6 (NLT) Jesus told him, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

Matthew 4:18-22 (NLT) “One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers—Simon, also called Peter, and Andrew—throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living. Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” And they left their nets at once and followed him.

A little farther up the shore he saw two other brothers, James and John, sitting in a boat with their father, Zebedee, repairing their nets. And he called them to come, too. They immediately followed him, leaving the boat and their father behind.”

Following Jesus means 4 things:

1. Being a sinner does not disqualify you. It’s a prerequisite.

2. Being an unbeliever doesn’t disqualify you. None of his earliest followers believed.

3. The invitation to follow is an invitation to relationship.

4. Following Jesus forces me to focus on where I am rather than where you are not.
