This weekend we continued our “Christmas at the Movies” series with a message from Matt on Believing. To watch this weekend’s message, you can click here or if you would like to give your tithe or offering, you can give online by clicking here.
We also baptized 33 people this weekend! We love to celebrate life change at C3! It is why we exist as a church!
Luke 2:8-14, “That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. 9 Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, 10 but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. 11 The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! 12 And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.” 13 Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”(NLT)
Don’t Be Afraid.
The Gospel is the Good News.
4 Markers on the Express that we need to understand:
- Everyone Has Sinned
Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
- Sin Separates Us From God
Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
- Jesus Built a Bridge
Romans 5:8, “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
- Confess Jesus as Lord and Savior
Romans 10:9-10, “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”
