Monday Morning Recap

20130330 - 693-M

This weekend we had 5 incredible Easter services at C3! Two services on Saturday night and 3 more on Sunday morning! We had over 4000 people attend our Easter services! One of the most powerful parts of the weekend was the baptisms! We had several people scheduled before the weekend to be baptized, but God laid it on Matt’s heart to open baptisms up to anyone in the service who wanted to be baptized and the response was incredible! Sixty five people were baptized!! In one service alone there were 32 people! It was such an amazing sight to see one person after the other!

Luke 23:32-34, “Two others, both criminals, were led out to be executed with him. When they came to a place called The Skull, they nailed him to the cross. And the criminals were also crucified —one on his right and one on his left.  Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.”(NLT)

Luke 23:44-46, “By this time it was about noon, and darkness fell across the whole land until three o’clock.  The light from the sun was gone. And suddenly, the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn down the middle.  Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” And with those words he breathed his last.”(NLT)

Luke 23:53-54, Then he took the body down from the cross and wrapped it in a long sheet of linen cloth and laid it in a new tomb that had been carved out of rock.  This was done late on Friday afternoon, the day of preparation, as the Sabbath was about to begin.”(NLT)

Luke 24:1-3, “But very early on Sunday morning the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. So they went in, but they didn’t find the body of the Lord Jesus.”(NLT)

REMEMBER THAT GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU

Psalm 9:10-12, “Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. 11 Sing the praises of the Lord, enthroned in Zion;
proclaim among the nations what he has done.  For he who avenges blood remembers;
he does not ignore the cries of the afflicted.”(NIV)

REMEMBER THAT GOD IS NOT FINISHED WITH YOU YET

 Psalm 71:17-18, “Since my youth, God, you have taught me,
and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds. Even when I am old and gray,
do not forsake me, my God,
till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.”(NIV)

REMEMBER THAT GOD HAS A PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE

Ephesians 2:8-10, God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.  For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”(NIV)

REMEMBER THAT HIS STRENGTH IS ENOUGH

2 Corinthians 12:9-10, “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.  That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”(NIV)
