This weekend was our Imagine Commitment Weekend! It is such an honor for Matt and I to lead such a generous church that is full of people that have a passion to provide real hope for real people in a real world! As Matt said this weekend, this is half time of this 2 year Imagine vision and we are believing that the second half is going to a year where we see God do even more than we did this first year!
If you missed this weekend’s services or didn’t get the opportunity to turn in your commitment card there is still time! You can turn it in this weekend, March 16 & 17, at all 3 services! It’s going to be our Imagine Celebration Weekend and we are going to celebrate as a church all that God has done this year and bring Him our best in offerings!
Imagine has 3 main focuses: Attack the Debt, Campus Development and Dream Center Ministries. Come this weekend and hear more about the vision!
This was also a special weekend as we had Dr. Dave Martin, a friend of mine and Matt’s, here with us at all three services. Dr. Dave also stayed Sunday evening and did a success seminar that was very powerful! Dr. Dave Martin, one of America’s #1 Christian Success coaches. He speaks regularly in businesses, colleges and churches. Dr. Dave is the author of several books including The Force of Favor and The 12 Traits of the Great.
Dr. Dave’s message reminded us of three things we all need more of in our life…
“Get skillful and godly Wisdom, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation); do not forget and do not turn back from the words of my mouth.Forsake not [Wisdom], and she will keep, defend, and protect you; love her, and she will guard you. The beginning of Wisdom is: get Wisdom (skillful and godly Wisdom)! [For skillful and godly Wisdom is the principal thing.] And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation). Prize Wisdom highly and exalt her, and she will exalt and promote you; she will bring you to honor when you embrace her.” – Proverbs 4:5-8
“And Jesus increased in wisdom (in broad and full understanding) and in stature and years, and in favor with God and man.”- Luke 2:52
“For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([a]unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.” – John 3:16
