“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 NLT
Daily we have to put all our trust in the Lord. He is our source of strength. Other things (books, vitamins, exercise, relationships) are great and can supplement physical and mental energy, but only He provides an inner strength, a Holy Spirit power, that will allow us to lead. Without Him, we are just knowledgeable, healthy people. With Him, we are leaders.
In His strength we can…
Soar – Vision. Have vision for your life, for your future, for your area of ministry, for your team, for your volunteers. Vision keeps us moving forward. We have to rely on His strength for this.
Run – Lead. Lead ourselves, our homes, our volunteers. As a leader, we are suppose to be a trailblazer, out ahead of everyone else. Seeing potential dangers first, taking new ground first, leading the way. We have to have His strength for that.
Walk – Manage. When we trust the Lord, He helps us manage our daily life. We need God in the details of our lives. Our lives are more important to Him than to us. When we walk with Him, we draw wisdom, clarity, discernment. As we walk with people, we come in contact with their struggles and they affect us. We will faint if we try to help people in our own strength. We have to have His strength.
