I’m Back!

Hey everybody. After a brief break, I’m back in the blogging world. I want to thank you for your prayers over the past weeks. I can’t tell you what it means to know that I have friends that are thinking of me and praying for me as I was going through the heart tests and catheterization. I received phone calls and emails from friends all over the country as well as here at C3. As you probably already know I’m fine…my health is good…but I am going to make some adjustments. I’m already eating half fat ice cream, low fat hot dogs, and I’ve exercised twice. Just kidding…except for the ice cream.

This past week Martha and I had the privilege of meeting with some movers and shakers for the Kingdom. We were in Greensboro, NC for 2 days meeting with the pastors of some of the largest churches in the state. This is an annual meeting and the purpose is to share ideas and insight with each other on a variety of issues. The best part is the relationships that are formed.

Our family spent the weekend in Va Beach with Pastor Steve Kelly and the Wave Church. Pastor Brian Houston from Hillsong Church was the guest speaker. One of the highlights was eating Indian food with Pastor Brian, Pastor Steve and a few friends after the Sunday night service. It was awesome to spend time with one of the most dynamic and influential pastors in the world. What I love about Pastor Brian and the Hillsong staff is that they are humble, down the earth, and real. But they are fired up about building God’s kingdom around the world.

Today I will be meeting with a group of pastors from the triangle area and some staff from Harvest Christian Fellowship, Riverside, California. We are making plans to host the Harvest Crusade with Pastor Greg Laurie here in Raleigh, June 07 at the RBC Center.

Praise God that you are back and even more fired up than before! With all that is going on, it sounds as if the Lord is is blessing you like he did Jabez (1Chronicle 4:10). That also means He is expanding the territory of C3. I can’t wait to see what He has in store for you and the C3 family. It is an honor and an adventure to be able to serve Him.

Hey, he’s back with that great big smile. Man, that is awesome that you got to fellowship and network with some many frontline soldiers of the Kingdom. Look forward to serving in the upcoming years as the Lord reveals even more to you about His plans for His people and where our body of believers fits into the whole scheme.
Can we say “TOTAL EXCITEMENT” about Greg Laurie coming. Listen to him everyday. Great to know we are able to help out with this event. Tickets are gonna go quick to hear from the man of God. Take care pastor and great to have you back…let’s get to running now (gotta get that heart rate up – LOL).

What a miracle, a work of wonder by God, to have you back with such great news! Even though Chris did a great job Sunday, we all missed you and Martha. We are all blessed to share in God’s vision through you! Look forward to seeing you and yours this weekend. God Bless!

  • Glad to see you back blogging, Matt. I’d been dropping by for a few weeks, so was sorry to hear about the stuff going on.
You have my prayers, my brother.
    Peace & blessings

  • Dude, we’re glad you’re back, but don’t keep us in suspense any longer…where’s the Friend Day blog?? We need to know how it went down! (Our’s was terrific last weekend, by the way!)

I know its been a long time coming but just wait and see. The Harvest Crusade for Christ is an experience that will shake up North Carolina spiritually. Having experienced the movement in Riverside, Calif (my hometown), the surrounding areas of Raleigh are going to feel an impact that can only be explained as a God thing. Get ready C3.

Matt, thanks for the words you spoke this weekend at church on David. Ken and I both were very encouraged by your message. We love you and will be praying for you and C3 regularly.
