I Still Have A lot To Learn

I had the privilege of spending some time with a few pastors the last few days. These guys are some amazing leaders that are making a huge impact around the world. I love hearing what God is doing in other churches and other cultures. To be honest, I wasn’t really interested in getting on another airplane and being away from my family and my home… but it was a tremendous time of connecting with other leaders and learning from their successes… and mistakes. I am reminded of Proverbs 27:17,

“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”

I need to learn from others and it is a blessing to have relationships with other great leaders. I’m so thankful that I have men that build me up and that make me a better person and friend. I also had the blessing of meeting a few new pastors. One is Mark Batterson from National Community Church in the heart of DC. They are doing an amazing job of reaching out in creative and innovate ways in the nation’s capital.

It’s time to get back on the plane again… At least it’s non stop.

We missed you last night at 1st Wed Pastor. Martha did a fantastic job. She really hit me in an area I was becoming complacent in. I’m glad you had a fruitful time in DC. We all need to take the same approach and seek every opportunity to grow. Thanks for all you do.
