Yesterday was Commitment Sunday at C3, and we had 2 powerful services! Commitment Sunday happens once a year, and it is the Sunday where we commit to God what we are going to give as an offering in 2011.

We also showed this great video that I wanted to share with you…

We also continued our SUPERNATURAL series, and Matt preached a strong message on the miracle of multiplication from .  This is the only miracle that is recorded in all 4 gospels.  From the miracle of multiplication, we are reminded that…

1) Obedience isn’t always convenient – The disciples reminded Jesus that they were in a ‘remote place’ and that it was already ‘late in the day’.  It wasn’t a convenient time to be used, but God used them anyway.

2) When we give God what we have, He multiplies it –  The boy gave 5 loaves and 2 fish and God multiplied it to feed 5,000 with scraps left over.  He can do the same with what we have – He can take what looks like very little to us and use it to do great things for His Kingdom.  In God’s economy, it isn’t about the amount you give, but about the condition of your heart as you give.

Matt reminded us that Jesus could have performed the miracle of multiplying the loaves and fish without the disciples, but He CHOSE to use them. I am so thankful that He chooses to use us to do His will today!  If you missed today’s message, you can hear it here.

Next Sunday is our SUPERNATURAL Offering Sunday and our 12 year Anniversary!  Continue to pray this week about what God would have you give for this one time offering next Sunday.  Also, if you were unable to commit today, but wanted to, it isn’t too late to make a commitment for 2011.

See you next Sunday!
