Hello From Peru

This Blog entry was written by Martha Fry, www.marthafry.org

I am writing this blog from Lima, Peru. We are at Pastor Robert Barriger’s church, Camino de Vida.  They have 10,000 people who attend their church in 5 services. So while C3 was having their services, Matt was preaching at services in Peru.  The church is alive and well around the world!!

It has been said you can tell there is great leadership when the leader is gone and things carry on as good or better. Matt is an awesome leader, and we have a great staff full of great leaders that make things even better when we are gone!

I am so proud of Christian Painter for preaching yesterday morning for the first time in our Sunday services. Christian and Tonya started coming to C3 in 2003 and started serving and getting involved in connect groups before later coming on staff. They’ve always had a great heart to serve wherever. They’ve served in children’s ministry, public relationship, and now they serve in student ministry. They have stayed planted in God’s House and it’s so exciting to see what God has done!

Christian continued our SUPER NATURAL series and talked about Moses, the Red Sea, and the lessons we learn from his life. If you missed this weekend’s message or would like to hear it again, you can also check it out on the podcast

Matt and I fly back on Monday. We leave Peru at midnight Monday night and arrive home mid-morning Tuesday.

See you next weekend,
