Grand Opening Highlights and Pics

Yesterday was a dream come true! For several years we have been dreaming, praying, fasting and sacrificing… and it’s amazing when the day actually comes and you see the fruit and impact. I was so proud of the worship team and the tech teams for stepping up strong. You can sense the presence of God from the very beginning. I want to thank the Creative Team for helping me put the service together. The ‘Evan Almighty’ clip was hilarious. You can listen to the podcast here or watch it here.
Also, thanks to all of the First Touch teams, Children’s Ministry and Student Ministry. You did an amazing job handling such a large crowd!
After the 11:15 service, a reporter from Raleigh’s News and Observer asked me how I felt about the service and I shared with her that this is a day that we’ve been dreaming of for years and it’s hard to believe that it’s here. I also shared with her that our vision has never been to build a big church, but to reach hurting people. And the new building is a result of reaching out to hurting people with real hope from Jesus. It’s amazing what God does when a group of ordinary people believe that All Things Are Possible With God and surrender their lives to Him. The article was in today’s paper on the front page of the City and State section. You can read it online here or go to
After you read the article, send her an encouraging email at She shared with us that her normal beat is Bio-Tech (Drugs) and this was a special assignment… I believe this was her first time reporting on religion. How cool is that?

I want to thank the C3 Staff and the entire C3 Church family. This is not about one person, but a group of believers crazy enough to believe that God can do anything when we put our faith in Him. Love Ya.

What an awesome service!! God is so real and so great!! I know that great and wonderful things are in store for this community and this region. We cannot even imagine the things that God is going to do. As 1 Corinthians 2:9 says, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.” It is so exciting to know that God is in control and is going to do big things for the hurting people around here and beyond. Thanks C3 team for doing an swesome job.
