Pastor Matt and I would like to encourage you to join us, and our C3 staff, as we take part in a ten day Daniel Fast beginning Sunday evening, April 20. We are going to join together for ten days ( one day for each year of C3 ministry) to fast and pray.
As a church, we are fasting to prepare our hearts for what God is going to do, and to stretch our faith as Kingdom Builders. The best way to do this is to redirect our food source, and substitute our regular food intake with Bible reading, praying, and journaling. If you joined us for the 21 day fast last September, this will seem easy!
The Daniel’s Fast is a partial fast, which means you don’t eliminate all foods, only some. Before you go to the grocery store and begin to plan meals for the fast, you can check out our Fasting webpage on the C3 Church website to help you know what foods to buy and what to leave on the shelf!
This week and throughout the fast, I will post recipes (and encouraging words!) that are Daniel-fast friendly that your family will love. Some of them are recipes I discovered during our last Daniel Fast, and my family has been enjoying ever since.
So, I encourage you to pray this week and ask God for strength and wisdom as you consider joining us during this powerful time of fasting and praying.
