Easter Weekend Recap

Wow.  Once again I am blown away by what God is doing through the C3 Church family. This past weekend was another example of a church reaching out and making a difference.  We added the Saturday night service to allow more room on Sunday morning and we had about 1400 people come to that service.  I heard so many stories of life change from friends that you brought.  So THANK YOU to every volunteer and staff member for serving with a lifegiving attitude and for being the hands and feet of Jesus.

Here are a few of the highlights:

  • We had 23 people make their faith public through baptism.
  • 67 adults, students and children committed their life to Christ as Savior and Lord.
  • Everyone who made a FRESH START with God received a free leather bible.
  • I had a blast after the service meeting so many new people by our 98ft tall cross.
  • In every service our 2,000 seat worship center was filled with people hungry for God.
  • Martha and I had the privilege of praying with many people after each service. I believe in the power of prayer!
  • It was awesome to hear the results of our Tornado Relief and see several attend that we were able to help this last week.
  • I love preaching about Jesus and Hope and the Resurrection and wearing white jeans!

Hey, I’ve got an idea…. let’s do Easter every week!  Jesus is alive and we should celebrate the resurrection every Sunday and every day!

I had several people ask me about the debate between Dr. Gary Habermas and Dr. Anthony Flew and the book that I made reference to. The book is: Did Jesus Rise From The Dead; The Resurrection Debate, by Habermas and Flew. We will have some available at the C3 Source bookstore later this week.  You can contact 919-934-6122 or check out c3church.com

You can also watch the sermon What Is Easter All About? Where I share my story of how I wrestled with my faith and the truth of who Jesus is and the resurrection. You can also listen to it here.

Looking forward to celebrating the Resurrection again this Sunday as we continue our series 5 Star based on the book of James!
