Do You Have a Friend?

I am blessed because I have a lot of friends. Some live close by and some live far away. Some I see a lot and some I see once a year. Some I have known for a long time and some for a short time. All my friends are different, but they all add value to my life. And I love spending time with my friends!!! So I definitely want to make sure they are all in Heaven. Just imagine – we can go get coffee, go shopping (it’s heaven, there will be great sales) and spend the day laughing and talking. Just being in the presence of Jesus!

(Just Hanging Out With Friends)

John 15:13-16
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. 15I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last.

How will fruit last? When we tell our friends about Jesus and they start a personal relationship with him, then we get to spend eternity with them in Heaven – Fruit that lasts forever.

Let’s start thinking, praying, and inviting our friends to Friend Weekend. We are going to have 5 services that weekend. Two Saturday at 5:00pm and 6:30pm; Two Sunday at 9:00am and 11:00am; One on Sunday evening at 5:00pm.

Let’s make a commitment – none of our friends will be left behind.

I love you guys – thanks for being my friends!

  • Hey Martha! So glad to see you still blogging. I was afraid it might end after the fast. Your words are always encouraging. Keep sharing… “… a friend loves at all times.” We love you Martha!

Thanks Martha, you are a wonderful woman,
I was so nervous about giving testimony last weekend BUT steadfast in doing so, I wanted people to know they are not alone, and after this Saturdays service someone came up to me and thanked me and said they had been through a similar experience, we stopped and chatted for a while,
    I now have a new friend 🙂
We need friends away from our family and colleagues, I have many “friends” but I can count on one hand the people I know would be there for me in time of need or crisis, they are your true friends, the ones you cry and laugh with, and tell all your innermost thoughts to, they are some of the most important people in your life! I don’t know what I would do without my Girls they are my sanity sometimes!
    Keep on blogging!
