Chicks & School Supplies

Hey Ladies,

It is hard to believe the summer is almost over and school is starting back!  After homeschooling my girls for 8 years, I dropped them off at school on Monday morning, and needless to say, I was a basket case!  Transitions are never easy – I cannot imagine what graduation will be like.  :)  So last week we were busy attending open houses, meeting teachers, and shopping for school supplies.  I am sure your family is doing the same right now.  It's a fun time, an emotional time, and a crazy busy time of year!

For our Chick Night on August 28, we are all going to do a little back to school shopping!

At our July Chick Night, we were blown away by the amount of food that was brought in to supply the Clayton Area Ministries with non-perishable foods.  As you know, it is mine and Matt's heart that, as we are blessed as a church and as a women's movement, we also want to be a blessing to our community.

This time (August 28) we are going to be collecting school supplies.  We are partnering with two local schools – one in the Cleveland area and one in the North Raleigh area to provide supplies for less-fortunate students who may not have the needed supplies, as well as to assist teachers in stocking their classrooms for a successful school year.  These children will never know where the supplies came from, but our desire is that something as small as a box of crayons or a bookbag can show them that God loves them and cares for them.

Please join us in reaching out to these schools and these children by bringing items from the below list when you come to Chick Night on August 28.

Needed Items:
Antibacterial Wipes (Clorox WIpes)
Copy Paper***
Glue Sticks
Pencil Pouches
Also, don't forget to invite your friends, co-workers, and neighbors to Chick NIght.  Invite cards are available at the Welcome Center, so stop by this weekend and pick some up.  We are moving in to the Worship Center this time as we are believing God wants to fill it up with women on fire for Him.

Thanks for partnering with us to reach our community for Christ!
