C35K Recap

This Saturday was our first annual C35K “Run for Haiti” and we had over 400 runners participate! At 9am we started with a One Mile Fun Run and then kicked off the 5K at 9:30am.  It was a great event with runners of all ages from all over the Triangle Area.

The purpose of the C35K was to raise the funds needed to send a C3 team to Haiti in May, 2011. While in Haiti the team will be working with Mission of Hope Haiti in Port Au Prince.  They will be building homes, distributing meals, working with children in the orphanage and spreading the message of HOPE.

Thank you to everyone who ran, volunteered, and sponsored the C35K in order to make it a success!  The C35K will be an annual event and our hope is that it will grow and continue to be a blessing to the community.

And…whether you ran or walked, don’t stop now!  Let the C35K motivate you to keep moving! Our bodies are God’s Temples and we need to keep it in the best shape we can!

Here are some great pictures from the C35K….Enjoy!
