6 Things I Learned In Africa – Part 3

Part 3

I shared in my previous 2 blogs the first 4 things I learned in Africa: 1. Be Thankful for What You Do Have, 2. All People Matter to God, 3. Never Give Up on the Dreams that God Puts in your Heart, 4. It Takes A Team To See A Dream Become Reality

Today I want to share 2 more…

5. GOD’S TIMING IS ALWAYS PERFECT

We have been praying for several years about what area internationally to focus on as a church. We had even looked at other countries and communities in Africa to reach out to. But God’s timing is always perfect. He was getting C3 Church ready, He was getting a pastor and a team ready and He was getting the Children’s Cup leadership in place. When we trust God and wait on Him we will see supernatural things take place that we could never imagine.

Isaiah 40:31, “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.”(NLT)

6. A LIFEGIVING CHURCH IS THE HOPE OF THE WORLD

I’ve discovered that what people need in addition to their physical needs being met is to have their spiritual needs met. And God created us to be a part of a family and to have lifegiving relationships. A lifegiving local church is the hope of the world. During the well dedication in Mganduzweni one of the community leaders who oversees the entire region outside Nelspruit shared that what the church had done that day, the government should have already provided. He actually apologized that they hadn’t already helped them get fresh, clean water. But when the Church is being the Church we can accomplish what the government and other organizations can’t do. The local church filled with people passionate for Jesus is the hope of the world! Let’s be the CHURCH!

Matthew 16:18, Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.”(NLT)
