21 Days of Prayer & Fasting – Day 17

Today’s Scripture:

Matthew 17:14-16 “And when they had come to the multitude, a
man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, “Lord, have mercy on my son,
for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and
often into the water. So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not
cure him.”

Prayer Focus:

Prayer is a posture of
humility.  Humble yourself before
the Lord each day and bring your cares to Him.  He wants to meet you where you are and answer your every
need. Pray too, that God help you with the disappointment and discouragement
that we each face along the way.
Is there discouragement in your heart today? Write it down and release
it to our perfect God.

    Paster Matt and Martha,
I’m not sure how to start as everything in our family’s live in the past year has been popping up in the sermon’s each Sunday or a devotional for the day will be exactly what God needs us and wants us to hear.
Our whole family has been fasting – vegan style. Our youngest daughter (17 in March)during dinner said “I’m going to do the only liquid fasting for the last three days just like Tammy (in the Source)! and you guys need to do it to”. My heart just about came out of my body. I was so proud of her. Of course, my husband and I agreed. Yes this is next Generation. just thinking of how proud I am of her brings tears to my eyes (i’m at work so it is quite funny as everyone is looking at my with tears of joy in my eyes smiling away!!).
I came to C3 one year ago January. My heart was heavy with regret, anger, depression after a failed business that took over $1m in things -property, land, and money; my marriage of 28 years was on the rocks and our two eldest children who live in NY and MA we are slowly rebuilding our relationships with them. The first month or so coming to the church, your sermon’s just hit me like someone pulling at my heart – that is when God started to talk to me – in the car, late at night and in my sleep. I cried during all servies because your sermon’s were talking about me, my relationship with GOD, my husband and my three chldren. My family and I are still young at praying but we have been having dinner together in a quiet house with a prayer before each meal. We now all attend church, my daughter and I serve with Reid and Tammy and we just love it. From the bottom of my heart, Thank You so very much for letting me know that GOD has a plan for me and he lead my family and I to C3 and we love you for that. God Bless both of you.
