Here we go, C3…today is the first day of our 21-day journey of Prayer & Fasting. Each day I’ll post a devotional to help encourage and keep you focused along the way. I can’t wait to see all that God is going to do during this season. Also, don’t forget to check out Martha’s blog for great fasting tips and recipes.
1 Samuel 10:9, “As Saul turned to leave Samuel, God changed Saul’s heart, and all these signs were fulfilled that day. When he and his servant arrived at Gibeah, a procession of prophets met him; the Spirit of God came powerfully upon him, and he joined in their prophesying. When all those who had formerly known him saw him prophesying with the prophets, they asked each other, “What is this that has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?”
As God changed Saul’s heart, He was able to move him into the leader and man of God that He had created Saul to be. As you begin your fast today, pray and ask God to change your heart to prepare you for all that He wants to do in and through you during this time of prayer and fasting. Our success depends solely on our devotion to God, not our position, wisdom or strength. God honors obedience. Pray that God would give you strength during the fast to be obedient to His leading.
