21 Day Challenge: Finish Strong!

For the last several years we've started the new year with a 21 day fast. This year, I felt led to do something a little different…the 21 Day Challenge. The Bible talks about giving God your Mind, Soul and Body.  The first 7 days we renewed our mind by reading through all 4 gospels. The second 7 days we renewed our souls by doing 7 days of prayer and fasting. This week, we are concluding with 7 days of exercise to renew our bodies!

Beginning tomorrow, I want to challenge you to exercise every day for the next 7 days for 20 minutes. For some of you, exercise may be a part of your daily routine. If it is, consider kicking it up a notch. If exercise isn't a part of your lifestyle, you can do something…start somewhere. Whatever exercise you choose to do, take time to pray and keep God at the center while you are working out.

Here are a few options for exercising 20 minutes…

*Go for a walk in your neighborhood 


*Ride your bike

*Lift weights

*Jump rope

*Do interval workouts – Run for 5 minutes, walk 5 minutes, repeat

*Take a class at a local gym

*Swim laps

These are just a few of the many ways you can get exercise…will you take the challenge?
