“When you fast to solve a particular problem, you are really fasting to find God’s will. When you pray, “Thy will be done,” you are asking God to lead the way through the twists and turns of your life. You are bringing God into your decision-making—or, better, you are bringing your decision-making into your relationship with Him. He’s better than a personal coach. He is your heavenly Father, and He will show you His will when you seek Him in fasting and prayer.
