21 Day Challenge – Day 4 – What Path are You On?

Today’s post comes from Joshua Jurjevich, Student Minister at C3.

As we continue reading through the book of Psalms, we are looking at chapters 24-32 today.

Today’s Key Scriptures:
Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. (Psalms 25:4 NLT)
Who are those who fear the LORD? He will show them the path they should choose. (Psalms 25:12 NLT)
Teach me how to live, O LORD. Lead me along the right path, for my enemies are waiting for me. (Psalms 27:11 NLT)
Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD. (Psalms 27:14 NLT)

I use my GPS on my phone anytime that I am not sure of the directions to my destination, which is pretty much everywhere except my church, local Starbucks, and grocery store. Anywhere else I go, I am completely depended on my phone. I love that my phone will lead me in every step of my journey. I really love when it’s connected to the stereo in the car and will speak to me in a loud volume anytime I am approaching a turn. I couldn’t imagine life before Siri.

God is similar to Siri. He may not speak to us loudly like Siri, or give us input on every little turn just like Siri does, and he definitely doesn’t always give us the estimated time of arrival. But, God does wants to guide you through your life.

These 21 days of prayer and fasting are a fantastic opportunity for us to eliminate distractions in our life and seek the voice of God for direction. God wants to lead us into the right steps for our lives. Whether you are hitting a crossroads in your career, need guidance on which door to step into, wisdom on dating, wisdom on some financial decisions, or whatever it may be, I believe that God wants to guide you into the right steps. God cares about everything in your life. He loves you so much and wants the best for you!

As we seek God for guidance in our lives, we must wait patiently, yet at the same time remain brave and courageous.

Prayer Focus:
I pray that you would do everything it takes to hear the voice of God during this time of prayer and fasting. Take some time to ask God to give you guidance in some areas where you need His wisdom.
