21 Day Challenge – Day 16

“What should you do when you are tempted? Realize there is a way to overcome or escape from temptation; God will not allow temptation to overpower you without offering you a way out. “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it” (1 Cor. 10:13, NKJV). Look for an exit! You overcome temptation when you walk away.

There is a victory available to those who struggle with temptation. Are you fasting and praying about a recurring temptation? Do you have an addiction so great that you have difficulty saying no? Fasting will help you win victory. When you fast and pray, you’re declaring that your needs and desires are not the primary thing in life. God is the focus of your life—and He is the source of your victory.”
