Today’s post comes from Michelle Carillet, Pre-school Minister at C3.
Today we are reading Psalms 93-100.
Today’s Key Scripture: Psalm 100
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.
Have you ever found yourself coming into a worship service and having a hard time entering in? You want to! You sing, you raise your hands, you close your eyes, but you just can’t seem to connect. This is something we have all felt at one time or another. There can be any number of reasons for this worship gridlock. However, in my own life I can usually narrow it down to one thing: a lack of worship in my personal time.
We are so blessed to be a part of a church that passionately worships God in EVERY service. However, if we don’t take the time to worship God in our everyday life, eventually the most amazing worship leaders of all time will not be able to usher us into the presence of God.
We serve an amazing God! He has given us life, the very air we breathe! He created the sun, the moon, the stars and every beautiful aspect of creation that takes our breath away! He gave us emotions that allow us to cherish those closest to us! He gave His Son while we were still wallowing in our pit of sin! He deserves our worship, our praise, and our gratitude. I believe that by simply adding a time of worship to our everyday lives, we will not only change our weekend worship experience, but we will take our relationship with God to unknown depths! Take time to worship God, today!
Prayer Focus: Take time to add worship to your day. Ask God to take you deeper than you have ever gone before and see what He WILL do.
