14th Anniversary Devotional: Day 9

EXPERIENCE Ministry – The Dream Team

Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Philippians 2:4 ESV

As Paul writes in the above verse, it is also important to consider the interests of others. To truly serve Christ we must die to ourselves. Sometimes that means serving others in a way that meets their needs, and taking a step out of our comfort zone. It’s often easy to think we have little to offer either with our gifts, our financial resources or our time. But God promises that if we are obedient in giving back with our gifts, our finances and our time, He WILL bless us. Today before you enter into prayer take some time to be still and receive from God. Allow Him to speak to your heart. Ask Him to show you areas in your life in which your giving back can be improved upon.

Praise God for gifting you with your spiritual gifts. Praise God for the ultimate servant heart of Jesus Christ. Ask God for forgiveness for times when you have been selfish with your resources in the areas or time, talent or treasures. Thank God for the serving hearts of the volunteers at C3. Thank Him specifically for someone who may stand out in your mind from when you first attended. Pray that our church family would continue to selflessly serve and give each weekend.
