Day Two – Martha Fry
“I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.” Psalm 77:11
Do you remember when you turned 13? I do. My parents threw me a surprise birthday party. I remember walking in our house and all my family and friends jumping out of their hiding places and yelling, “SURPRISE”!! I felt so loved and special; this party was to celebrate me. My parents bought me a 10-speed bike. I can still see the picture of me holding my bike. It is an awesome memory.
All through out the Old Testament God tells the Israelites to remember. Remember what the Lord has done for you, remember where God has brought you from, remember the crossing of the Red Sea, etc. And many times He would have them build an alter or pile up stones so every time they passed by they would remember.
So today I want to encourage you to look back over the past 13 years and remember the goodness of the Lord. In your journal begin to remember and write down all the things God has done in your life. And as you remember begin to thank God for what He has done.
