In many ways it feels like just yesterday that Martha and I moved from Lynchburg, VA to Johnston County, NC, unpacked our U-Haul into a small house in Four Oaks with a dream of planting a church that would reach out to those who are unchurched or far from God. I will never forget my first Sunday preaching at Cleveland Elementary School although there were only about 50 people in attendance I could see the entire school cafeteria filled with people who were hungry for God and needed hope. Now here we are 12 years later with a 47 acre campus on Hwy 1010, 100,000 square foot facility, 2000 seat worship center, children and student ministry facility, C3 Café and bookstore and have seen thousands of lives changed with the gospel of Jesus Christ. In the last year alone we have seen 313 people saved and baptized. C3 is not a perfect church but we are a church that is passionate for God and for hurting people. Our passion has been from day 1 to provide Real Hope for Real People in a Real World.
I would like to invite you to join us as we celebrate 12 years as a church family. The next two Sundays at C3 are going to be powerful as we thank God for all He has done and for all He is going to do in the next year and beyond.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 14 KINGDOM BUILDER COMMITMENT SUNDAY – Everyone will bring their commitment card for 2011 with what they are committing to give to God weekly or monthly above their tithe.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 21 12-YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION! –SUPERNATURAL OFFERING. On this day we will have a celebration thanking God for all He’s done and bring an offering for 2011 as we continue God’s vision at C3. We will also have cake and coffee for everyone after the service. If you would like to know more about our vision you can watch this video…
Thanks again for your partnership! We are building God’s kingdom together. My friend Brian Houston told me, “Great churches are not built on the gifts and talents of a few but on the sacrifices of many!” Let’s believe God that our next 12 years will be beyond what we could imagine or think and may God get all the glory.
